Our Story

Nektar Apothecary started with hand sanitizer. During the early days of the pandemic, the sanitizers on shelves (when you could find them at all) were harsh, drying, and packed with chemicals. Moriah started making her own. That same question, why does taking care of yourself have to mean stripping and drying out your skin, carried straight into skin care next.

Moriah brings two backgrounds to every formula: some formal training in herbalism, and years as a licensed hair stylist. Hair and skin aren't so different. She built a reputation finding products that strengthen hair instead of stripping it, and that same philosophy shapes every Nektar product: heal and protect the skin you have, don't strip it down and rebuild it.

You won't see the words "anti-aging" on this site. Getting older isn't a problem to fix, and we don't think skin care should treat it like one. No harsh chemicals, just genuinely taking care of your skin.

Every product is still handmade in small batches, usually 12 to 24 at a time, and hand-labeled and hand-boxed one by one. We source ingredients as close to home in the Pacific Northwest as we can. It's slower than mass production, but it's how we keep an eye on quality in every batch that goes out the door.
